Oksana Mader, President of Lucky Quilters International, took part in the Houston International Quilt Festival 2019.

This large-scale world-class event took place from October 31 to November 3 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, USA.

Oksana's work "The Angel of Faith, Hope and Love" was chosen by the organizers to participate in the exhibition.

Oksana shared her impressions of the festival:

My impressions of the Dream of all the world's quilters (about 1000 participants) began after the selection of my work «The Ángel of Faith, Hope and Love». To be the chosen one of such a level is already an incredible event and a privilege for every textile artist.

I can’t say better than my friend from America Nadya Cartmell said: «I think our politicians need to be more likely to attend events such as the world famous Quilt Festival Houston! So many people (more than 100,000 people in 4 days!) from different parts of the world (more than 40 countries) can sincerely smile at each other, talk to each other, even sometimes not knowing the language! Isn't that wonderful?!»
The Mission of our Association «LUCKYQUILTERS INTERNATIONAL», Benalmádena-Málaga, Spain  is «Making the World a better place with Art». 
And my personal investment to it was successful. Visitors to the festival not only understood the whole meaning that I put into the work, they thanked for it (many with tears of joy in their eyes). They knew the work in person and came to the Angel!
The honor and great confidence that the residents of Benalmadena have shown me, I will carry with dignity and gratitude at all subsequent Exhibitions throughout America until September 2020! Many thanks to all the grateful viewers and organizers of the Quilt Festival Houston 2019!
The 45th anniversary of unique American art and great English tradition was a success!
